It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our friend, Partner of Second Chance Global, and Pastor of Padre Granero, Lo Lo. We know that Pastor Lo Lo went to be with the Lord and to bask in glory.
The day after the funeral, I sat with Ronise, widow of Pastor Charles Lo Lo and mother to 5, in their home.
She practiced saying “would you like some coffee” in English before I got there. She borrowed chairs from neighbors so we could all sit. From the moment I got there, I watched her repeatedly wipe tears from her eyes.
The kids brought out a small table, put it together, and grinned to eat together. A small bowl of rice, a small pot of stew with beef, and a hot pot of coffee sat on the table for the 9 of us there. We held hands and prayed. She wiped tears from her eyes saying Pastor Lo Lo would be so happy to see us all together this way.
She showed me a glimpse of what it was like for the early church, breaking bread together in their homes, through grief and pain.
We went by her business and prayed over the building, that prosperity and provision would follow her. We prayed over her home, that the Holy Spirit would manifest through the walls and roof. We laughed. We talked about how the ministry would continue.
When it was time to go, she held my hand and walked me to my car. She told me to tell everyone with @secondchanceglobal, “I’m so thankful for the organization because you never left me alone. Even all that happened, it’s a proof that you never left me alone and you are not working with any interest. Please when you get back, hug them all for me.”
I watched her walk back alone. And I whispered, “thank you Jesus for walking with her, even when she can’t see you.”
