Ten years. It’s hard to believe that what began in September 2016 has become what we know today as Second Chance Global.
When we first stepped into an orphanage and met children who needed food, education, and hope, there was no grand strategy. There was no vision for multiple countries, thousands of lives impacted, or a growing network of friends around the world. There was simply a need and a deep conviction to say yes. The burden became the movement.
Looking back, these ten years have been marked by surrender, obedience, grit, pioneering faith, and unwavering commitment. We have celebrated salvations, baptisms, educational milestones, economic opportunities, and transformed futures. We have also mourned the loss of Pastors, friends, and members of our global family who helped shape this journey.
Through every victory and every challenge, one thing has remained true: God is faithful.
That faithfulness now impacts thousands of individuals and families across Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and our third country. We have witnessed firsthand what happens when ordinary people respond with extraordinary obedience.
As I reflect on this decade, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Not only for what has been accomplished, but for the people who made it possible. Every donor, volunteer, advocate, and prayer has played a role in this story. Second Chance Global has never been built by one person. It has always been a community of people willing to believe that one act of generosity can change a life forever.
At our seventh anniversary, we announced a bold vision: to see $3 million invested over three years to impact thousands of lives across three countries.
Today, $2.7 million has already been given, and with that generosity we have expanded into a third country while strengthening the work in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. As we enter the final months of this three-year journey, we have one goal remaining: to see the final $300,000 invested before year-end. Reaching this milestone isn’t about a number, it represents more families empowered, more local leaders equipped, and more lives forever changed.
The next decade feels different. It feels marked by expectation, abundance, stronger local leadership, generational transformation, and communities changed for years to come because people like you chose to invest in something bigger than themselves.
