Haiti Evacuation

Mon, 17 Jul 2023

Hello Friends and Family,

I want to first thank you for pouring love and generosity over our children and families in Haiti for the past 7 years. Our mission has and continues to be a powerful force in varying communities and countries. As you know, our mission in Haiti has a special place in our hearts as it is where our story began. And since that time we have responded to countless natural disasters, setbacks, and crises the country has faced.

Today, sustainability and hope are both lost in Port-au-Prince, the country’s capital. This is where much of our operations take place. Gangs are surrounding us and are becoming more aggressive consistently. The horrors that have happened less than a mile away are too traumatizing to adequately explain.

We have a strategic plan and we are prayerfully ready to execute. Our children, employees and their families need to evacuate Port-au-Prince.

A short 4 years ago, we were entrusted to provide the best care possible for a group of abandoned children. We promised them we would help them reach sustainability and we have been so proud to see the progress over the years. Now we must overcome these violent, life-threatening gang invasions together. We must secure funding to evacuate them.

The cost to evacuate one person out of Port-au-Prince is $1,200. The cost to evacuate one family varies on size and logistical needs. Our prayer is that you would rally your community to support the relocation of our children and families to save their lives.

We are asking that you pray and financially support this need. No gift is too small when we band together as a community to make a difference. Thank you for loving these children and families with us in our fight to end generational poverty through empowerment.
